Ford Selected to NABC Reese's Division III College All-Star Game

Mitch Ford of the men's basketball squad has been selected to play in the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) 2016 Reese's Division III College All-Star game which will be held this Saturday, March 19th at 3:30 pm at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va.
Ford put together a stellar senior season, earning Empire 8 Player of the Year and first team honors, after leading the conference in points (22.2) and rebounds (11.3). His scoring average ranked 25
th nationally, while his rebounds ranked 10
th. The Victor, NY native racked up 17 double-doubles in 26 games, putting him seventh in the country in that category. Ford managed to score in double digits in each game during the year, shooting an impressive 53.8 percent from the floor. His 22.2 scoring average is the second-best single season average in program history, while his 293 rebound ranks first all-time at Nazareth.
For his career, Ford poured in 1,510 points good for seventh all-time, while also grabbing 764 rebounds, the third-best mark at Nazareth.
Ford was one of 18 student-athletes selected to participate in the NABC All-Star game which starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III and two seniors were selected through online voting on D3hoops.com.
A Business Administration major, Ford earned his undergraduate degree from Nazareth in December with a 3.36 GPA.
