NABC All-America teams

Honors keep rolling in for Nazareth basketball standout Mitch Ford. The senior frontcourt fixture has been honored as a second-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Earlier this week, Ford was selected to compete at the NABC Division III all-star game in Salem, Va. and was named to the East Region all-star team by d3hoops.com.

Ford, of Victor, N.Y. and a graduate of Victor High School, was a dominant player for the Golden Flyers in 2015-16 as he was named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year after leading the league in scoring (22.2 ppg.) and rebounding (11.3 rpg.). He ranked 25th nationally in scoring and 10th in rebounding and seventh with 17 double-doubles. He also set a single-season rebounding record with 293 and posted the second-highest single-season scoring average.

He ranks seventh all-time in career scoring with 1,510 points and third in rebounding with 764 boards. Among the other school records he holds is the mark for points in one game -- 49 vs. Ithaca last season.

A Business Administration major, Ford graduated from Nazareth in December with a 3.36 grade-point average that helped earn him Academic All-America honors. He is the third Nazareth player to be recognized by the NABC, joining Greg Dunne (second team, 1999) and Corey McAdam (first team, 2010).
