Women’s Swimming Competes At NCAA Championships Opener

GREENSBORO, N.C. (March 16, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team competed in three events during Day One of the NCAA Swimming Championships.

Junior Danielle Caruso finished 27th in the 500-freestyle, notching a time of 5:02.72. Sophomore Sarah Jurczyk hit a personal best of 2:09.26 in the 200-IM. The 200-medley relay team of freshman Courtney Jones, Jurczyk, senior Jennifer Rutledge and Caruso tallied a 21st place time of 1:47.65. The time was almost two seconds faster than the mark set at the Empire 8 Conference Championships.
