ELKTON, Md. (March 19, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team shot a 329 in the 2016 spring opener Saturday at the Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic.

The originally scheduled two-round tournament is taking place at the Patriots Glen National Golf Club in Elkton, Md. Due to tomorrow's weather forecast, tomorrow's second round has been cancelled.

Battling cold and windy conditions, junior Frank Szucs carded the lowest score of the round for Stevens with a 77, while freshmen Tyler Balkema and Jack Doherty shot an 81 and 82 respectively.

Swarthmore College placed first with a 305.

The Ducks will return to the tee-box on April 3 with the one-day Eastern University Invitational at the Rising Sun Golf Course in Rising Sun, Md.
