SALEM, Va. -- Nazareth senior Mitch Ford scored 12 points Saturday as a member of the West all-star team that competed in the Division III all-star game that was sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Ford's west team lost, 129-120, to the east all-stars in a game that was played at the Salem Civic Center as part of the NCAA Division III Final Four.

The all-star game capped a brilliant four-year career for Ford, who earned a variety of accolades for the Golden Flyers, including second-team All-America honors from the NABC. He also was honored as Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year and was an Academic All-American.

In the all-star game, Ford went 6-for-11 from the field and had four rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes of playing time.

University of St. Thomas from St. Paul, Minn. ended up winning the Division III title with an 82-76 victory over Benedictine University of Lisle, Ill.
