ECAC Upstate Men's Basketball All-Stars

DANBURY, CT – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2015-16 ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball All-Stars. Nazareth senior Mitch Ford headlined the honors earning the Player of the Year. Ford was joined on the first team by St. John Fisher College junior Keegan Ryan. Hartwick seniors Trevor Norton and Matt Wilson and Ithaca College sophomore Marc Chasin were named to the second team.

Ford, the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year, averaged 22.2 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. He ranked 25th nationally in scoring and 10th in rebounding and seventh with 17 double-doubles. He also set a single-season rebounding record with 293 and posted the second-highest single-season scoring average.

Fisher junior Keegan Ryan, a Second Team selection, is making his second consecutive appearance on an All-East Region Team as he was a First Team selection last season. The junior led the team in scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounding (9.7 rpg), and field goal percentage (59.4%). The Empire 8 All-Conference First Team selection tallied 14 double-doubles this season and now has 30 such games in his career. 
             
Norton led Hartwick in scoring (19.5 ppg), field goals (161), three-pointers (81), three-point field-goal percentage (.407), free throws (103), and free-throw percentage (.851) this season.  He hit the 1,000-point mark for his career and ranks ninth in program history in three-pointers made (137) in just two seasons. His 81 three's this season is the fourth-highest single-season total at 'Wick.
           
Wilson paced the Hawks in rebounding (272) and blocked shots (53). He averaged 12.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game and led 'Wick in field-goal percentage (.609).  Wilson's 53 blocks set the program record for a single season. He also broke the program record in the category with 114 in only three seasons.

Chasin led the Bombers and ranked second in the conference in scoring at 20.8 points per game. His .486 field goal percentage was tops on the team and ninth-best among all conference players as well. Chasin started all 28 games at guard for the Bombers and eclipsed the 25-point plateau ten times overall.  He posted five double-doubles during his sophomore campaign and accounted for 6.5 rebounds per game along with 2.7 assists.
