CLAREMONT, Calif. (March 25, 2016) - The No. 25 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team fell in its spring break finale to No. 8 Pomona Pitzer, 6-3 Friday afternoon in southern-California.

The loss dropped Stevens to 5-6, while Pomona-Pitzer moved to 9-6.

Pomona-Pitzer grabbed the initial lead with an 8-4 win at second doubles, but the Ducks responded with wins at third and first to take the advantage heading into singles.

Junior Charles Drake and freshman Kyle Cenderelli won 8-5 at No. 3 in the pair's fourth win of the season together, while seniors Matthew Heinrich and Ben Foran recovered from just their second loss of the season yesterday with a 9-7 victory at No. 1.

The win was Heinrich/Foran's team-leading eighth of the season, all of which have come from the top spot.

Sophomore Danny Polk picked-up the singles victory for the Ducks with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3, pushing his season record to 3-2 from that spot.
