ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Junior
Kyle Bromley was Nazareth's top individual finisher this weekend as the Golden Flyers opened their spring season in men's golf with a ninth-place finish at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. Playing at The Bridges Golf Course, Nazareth had rounds of 332 and 328 for a two-day total of 660. Gettysburg had the top two individual finishers and won the team title with a score of 598.
Bromley shot a 3-over-par score of 75 Sunday and, combined with an 84 Saturday, finished in a tie for 27th place with a two-day total of 159.
Senior
Sean de Herder also played well Sunday with a score of 79 to finish in a tie for 40th place with a 163 total. Senior
Caleb McGuire had Nazareth's lowest round Saturday with a 79. He shot 84 Sunday and finished tied with de Herder with a 163 total.
Junior
Jonathan Gerken (85-90--175) and senior
Tom Mediak (98-90--188) also competed for the Golden Flyers.
Dane Sethre-Hofstad of Gettysburg finished as the medalist with an even-par total of 144 after rounds of 71 and 73.
