Fisher Ranked 15th Nationally; Ithaca Receiving Votes

The St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team is ranked 15th in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll. Ithaca College is among teams also receiving votes.

The Cardinal's opened the 2016 season with a convincing 18-2 win over Elizabethtown College last Tuesday in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The next day they delivered an impressive 14-5 win against the University of Mount Union.

Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday March 9 and will host Buffalo State College at Growney Stadium.

Ithaca won its season opener for the sixth time in eight years as the Bombers defeated St. Lawrence, 15-7, this past Saturday. 

Ithaca travels to Cortland, the defending national champions and the No. 1 ranked team in the IWLCA poll, for a 4 p.m. showdown this afternoon (March 8).
