Fisher Earns 5-4 Win At Oswego
The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team moved to 4-4 on the year with a 5-4 win at SUNY Oswego on Thursday.
Fisher, winners of three of its last four matches, swept all three double matches to take a 3-0 lead and sealed the win with victories at fourth and fifth singles.
Jarrett Pelton earned the decisive point at fifth singles. After losing the opening set, the freshman rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory.
Christian Barnes also earned a point with a 6-3, 6-3 win at fourth singles.
Kevin Kulawiec and
Quinn Magiera won 8-6 at first doubles, while
Adam Moran and
Jacob Zarzycki prevailed 8-4 at second doubles.
At third doubles,
John Miller and
Jonathan Harper won 8-6.
Fisher returns to action at 1 p.m. on Sunday and will host Ithaca College.
