Just a few weeks remain in the spring regular season and hopefully the weather warms up as there are still plenty of games to be played as teams compete for a spot in the postseason tournaments. In the meantime, those earning weekly honors for the week of April 4-10, 2016 include...

Men’s Lacrosse Player –  Stevens
Nicholas Carnovale, Freshman, Midfield – Fairfield/Seton Hall Prep
 
Nicholas Carnovale was dominant in the faceoff X against Houghton on Saturday. In the 22-0 victory, Carnovale won 13-of-15 faceoffs and tallied his first career assist. He also tallied 10 ground balls.
 
Men’s Lacrosse Goalie –  Ithaca
Scott Sidnam, Senior – Camillus, NY/West Genesee
 
Senior Scott Sidnam made 11 saves as No. 16/17 Ithaca defeated No. 11 Nazareth for their second straight win over a nationally-ranked squad. After a dominant all-around effort, the nationally-ranked Bombers extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a 19-5 win over the Golden Flyers. Sidnam, the two-time Empire 8 Goalie of the Week, recorded his fourth straight game of double-digit saves, and fifth of the year. The Bombers clamped down and held Nazareth 10 goals below its season-long scoring average.
 
Women’s Lacrosse Player –  Ithaca
Morgan Racicot, Junior, Attack – Geneva, NY/Geneva
 
Junior Morgan Racicot set a career-high for points in a game and 11 different student-athletes recorded at least one point as a balanced Ithaca College women's lacrosse team defeated Houghton 21-3 Saturday at Higgins Stadium. Racicot, an attacker, scored a career-high nine points on five goals with four assists as the Bombers (7-3, 4-0 Empire 8) remained perfect in conference play. Leading 1-0 early on, Racicot scored twice and assisted on another goal as IC raced out to an early 4-0 lead. She scored seven points (four goals, three assists) as Ithaca took a 13-2 lead into halftime en route to Ithaca's third win in four home games. 
 
Women’s Lacrosse Goalie –  Stevens
Stephanie Schnelzer, Sophomore – Carmel, IN/Carmel
 
Stephanie Schnelzer recorded a .452 save percentage and picked up her sixth win of the season as Steven’s went 1-1 on the week. Schenlzer started the week with six saves against nationally ranked No. 3 TCNJ on Tuesday and then made eight saves in 60 minutes of action to help Stevens to the win over Utica on Saturday.
 
Baseball Player –  Ithaca
Ryan Henchey, Junior, Catcher – Rensselaer, NY/Columbia
 
Junior Ryan Henchey went 4-for-8 with five RBI, three runs scored, two doubles and a home run in Sunday's doubleheader sweep of SUNY Canton. In the opener, Henchey went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. He then followed with a 2-for-5 nightcap which included a double and three-run home run. He finished the week with a 1.125 slugging percentage and extended his hitting streak to four games.
 
Baseball Pitcher –  Ithaca
Tyler Hill, Sophomore – Manorville, NY/St. Anthony’s
 
Sophomore Tyler Hill tossed a complete game two-hitter against SUNY Canton on Sunday in a 3-2 victory. Hill earned his third win of the season and struck out six batters with two walks, and needed just 84 pitches to get through seven innings as he held Canton to a .087 batting average.
 
Softball Player –  Utica
Alysa Russell, Senior, SS – Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville
 
Senior Alysa Russell was 9-for-17 in four games last week. On Friday, she went 6-for-9 with four runs scored, two RBIs, and three stolen bases to help Utica to a pair of wins over Stevens. She followed that up with three hits as the Pioneers fell to Ithaca on Sunday. On the year, she leads the conference with 13 steals, more than twice as many as the next person and is second on the team with a .325 batting average.
 
Softball Pitcher –  St. John Fisher
Lindsey Thayer, Sophomore – Winthrop, NY/St. Lawrence
 
Lindsey Thayer struck out a staggering 16 batters, only allowing one hit in seven innings as Fisher defeated D’Youville.
 
Men’s Tennis Player–  Houghton
Chase Rangle, Senior – Houghton, NY/Fillmore Central
 
Chase Rangle helped Houghton pick up wins over Penn-State Behrend (8-1) and Keuka (9-0). Rangle won his first singles match 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 and won first doubles 8-6 against PSB. He also won his first singles match 6-2, 6-1 against Keuka and first doubles 8-1.
 
Men’s Golf Player –  Moravian
Dan Leppert, Junior – Layton, NJ/Kittatinny
 
Dan Leppert fired a career-low and even par round of 72 and won medalist honors on the fourth tiebreaker to lead the Greyhounds to a first place team finish at the Annual Moravian Spring Invitational played at Woodstone Country Club Tuesday. As a team, the Hounds carded a three-over par score of 291, which is believed to be the lowest team score in school history. Leppert turned in a pair of birdies and 14 pars during his round including a save out of the sand on the par 3 fifth hole.
 
Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete –  Stevens
Chris Banko, Junior – Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen
 
Junior Chris Banko placed first in the 10,000 meter run at the Osprey Open with a time of 32.57.46
 
Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete –  Stevens
Parker Dimock, Sophomore – Colchester, CT/Bacon Academy
 
Sophomore Parker Dimock was fourth with a throw of 41.17 meters and fifth in the javelin with a throw of 48.23m at the Osprey Open.
 
Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete –  Stevens
4x800 Meter Relay Team
 
Freshmen Kasey Suszko and Mary Visca, along with sophomores Samantha Rokicsak and Jackie Endres finished first in the 4X800 meter relay at the Osprey Open friday. The quartet qualified for the ECAC Championships with a time of 9:37.6.
 
Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete –  Stevens
Ashna Manhas, Sophomore – South Brunswick, NJ/South Brunswick
 
Sophomore Ashna Manhas placed eighth in the javelin, throwing 28.38 meters.
