UTICA, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth won for the third straight time in men's tennis Sunday as the Golden Flyers swept all three doubles matches in a 7-2 victory over Utica. Nazareth improved to 4-7 overall and 3-0 in conference action. The Golden Flyers also defeated Hartwick, 9-0, on Saturday.
Nazareth started strong with three points in doubles.
Tyler Williams and
Lamar Hurt took an 8-3 win at first doubles and
Christian Bryant and
Louis Rogers won 8-0 at second doubles. Nazareth completed the sweep with a win from
Ryley Amond and
Scott Trobert at third doubles.
In singles action, Trobert, Hurt, Bryant and
Jared Sharza each claimed points with straight-set victories.
