Fisher Extends Lead; Haas in First

Hershey, PA --  The St. John Fisher College men's golf team stretched its lead to 23 strokes after the third round of the Empire 8 Golf Championship on Saturday as the Cardinals shot a combined 298 at the par 71 Hershey Country Club.  The winner, which will be crowned on Sunday, will earn the Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament in May.
 
The Cardinals entered the day holding an 11-stroke lead after completing the championship's first two rounds in the fall and quickly pulled away from the crowd.

Fisher's Cory Haas currently sits in first place with a three round total of 220. Haas shot a 70 (-1) on Saturday, the only competitor under par on the day. 

Moravian's Jim Maru shot a 78 on Saturday to place him second overall with a total of 226, followed by Fisher's Karl Deuble with a 228. 

Stevens Institute of Technology is led by Jack Doherty and Frank Szuca who are currently fourth (234) and fifth (235), respectively. 

The teams will be back on the course tomorrow competiting in the final leg of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament.
