Houghton Set to Host E8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday
Houghton College will serve as hosts for the 2016 Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, April 23 at Burke Field.
Competition in the field events begins at 10:00 a.m. with the men’s hammer throw, men's long jump and women’s shot put. Track events start at 11:30 a.m. with the men's 110 meter hurdle semifinals.
Admission to the event is free. Spectators are asked to follow the "KPAC PARKING" signs up Centerville Road to the parking lot of the Nielsen Physical Education Center on the main campus (Key 17D -
Campus Map). Spectators can then proceed on foot down the adjacent hill on the North end of the lot and follow the walking path to the Track Stadium (Burke Field). Overflow parking will be directed to the parking lots on either side of our Softball Stadium along Route 19.
