HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- A new school record highlighted the Houghton track team's performances as they closed out their regular season at the Allegany County Classic on Wednesday at Burke Field.

Alfred State College and Alfred University also competed as the Highlanders got in one final tune up before they host the Empire 8 Championships this Saturday.

The highlight of the day for the Highlanders came in the men's high jump, where freshman Zdravko Bogdanoski won in a personal best and new school record of 1.95m (6-4.75). Assistant Coach David Kinman had this to say about Bogdanoski, "when he steps onto the high jump pad he is tenacious in his efforts to conquer new heights."
