Men’s Lacrosse Player –  Ithaca
John Januszkiewicz, Junior, Attack – Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park

Junior John Januszkiewicz tallied 13 points on nine goals with four assists as the Ithaca College men's lacrosse team extended its school-record winning streak to 12 with a win over then-No. 2 ranked RIT and a road win over Alfred University. Januszkiewicz, an attacker, scored two goals with three assists in an 18-16 win vs. RIT in a showdown between top 10 schools. No. 8 Ithaca snapped RIT's 52-game regular-season winning streak and earned its first win over the Tigers since a 10-8 win on April 10, 2010. Januszkiewicz followed up with a career-high eight points on a career-high seven goals with one assist in a 22-11 win at Alfred as Ithaca eclipsed 15 goals in a game for the 14th time in 15 games.

Men’s Lacrosse Goalie –  Ithaca
Scott Sidnam, Senior – Camillus, NY/West Genesee
 
Senior Scott Sidnam made nine saves in the fourth quarter and finished with 17 saves as the nationally-ranked Ithaca College men's lacrosse team extended its school-record winning streak to 11 with an 18-16 road win over RIT Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Stadium. In a showdown between top 10 schools, No. 8 Ithaca snapped No. 2 RIT's 52-game regular-season winning streak and earned its first win over the Tigers since a 10-8 win on April 10, 2010. Sidnam followed up with 10 saves in a 22-11 road win over Alfred Saturday as the Bombers extended their winning streak to a school-record 12.
 
Women’s Lacrosse Player –  Elmira
Moorea Spoljaric, Senior, Attack – Saugerties, NY/Saugerties
 
Moorea Spoljaric became Elmira's all-time leading scorer in the team's 13-7 win over Alfred University. She scored five times against the Saxons, bringing her career total to 171, which snapped a nine-year record held by Katya Outwater '07. Spoljaric finished the week with 13 points on 10 goals and three assists, scoring five times in each game she played. She also won 10 draws and collected eight ground balls.
 
Women’s Lacrosse Goalie –  Elmira
Lindsay Wargo, Junior – Madison, CT/Daniel Hand
 
Lindsay Wargo helped Elmira go 1-1 last week with a road win over Alfred University. She finished with 25 saves, including a career-high 17-save effort against Nazareth College. Wargo now has three double-digit save performances this season and sits in second place in the E8 standings in saves per game (8.63).
 
Baseball Player –  Canton
Seth Douglas, Junior, 1B/DH – Reedsburg, WI/Reedsburg
 
Junior Seth Douglas went 11-for-18 with a .611 batting average, 12 RBI’s and two homeruns in four games for Canton last week. In the game against Clarkson on Wednesday, Douglas went 3-for-5 with five RBI, including his fifth home run of the season. In a doubleheader against Utica on Saturday, Douglas finished 6-for-8 with six RBI and one homerun. In the last game of the weekend against Utica, he went 2-for-5 for his 15th multi-hit game of the season.
 
Baseball Pitcher –  St. John Fisher
Terry Engels, Junior – Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker
 
Terry Engles threw Fisher's second no-hitter of the season in a 4-1 win over Stevens on Saturday, extending Fisher's win streak to 14. Engles struck out five batters in the contest.
 
Softball Player –  Alfred
Nicole Maher, Senior, Shortstop – Newark, DE/Caravel Academy
 
In a 6-0 week for the Saxons, Nicole Maher batted .556 (10-for-18) with 11 runs scored and nine RBIs. Four of her 10 hits were for extra bases, including three doubles and a triple. In a win over Penn College, Maher hit the 40th double of her career, breaking the school record. In two E8 games last week (a sweep of Nazareth), she was 5-for-6 (one double, one triple) with four runs scored and three driven in.
 
Softball Pitcher – Ithaca
Allison Macari, Senior – Stamford, CT/Westhill
 
Allison Macari played a critical role in the circle for the Bombers last week as Ithaca posted a 7-1 overall record including a 5-1 mark against conference opponents. Macari was 5-0 on the week and did not allow a run over 27.2 innings of work. The senior pitcher gave up just 10 base hits during the week and recorded four complete game shutouts. The Samford, Conn. native picked up both wins against Stevens after tossing 1.2 innings in relif in the opening game before bouncing back to throw five innings in a three-hit shutout. Against Fisher on Sunday, Macari went seven innings and allowed just two hits for her 10th win of the season. In all, Macari struck out 21 hitters on the week.
 
Men’s Tennis Player–  Ithaca
Chris Hayes, Senior – Rochester, NY/Brighton
 
Senior Chris Hayes picked up a pair of wins against Hartwick College Wednesday afternoon and earned his 100th career victory as the Ithaca College men's tennis team swept the Hawks 9-0. Hayes posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles and teamed with junior Wes Davis on an 8-0 win at first doubles to reach 100 career wins. Taking on Hamilton Saturday afternoon, Hayes recorded wins at first singles and first doubles as the Bombers picked up a 7-2 non-conference victory. Chris Hayes posted a 6-4, 6-1 win at the first singles flight to improve to 12-2 in singles play in dual matches this year. He teamed with Wes Davis on an 8-6 first doubles win as well.
 
Men’s Golf Player –  No Nominations
 
Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete –  St. John Fisher
Peter Girardi, Sophomore – Cicero, NY/Cicero North Syracuse
 
Peter Girardi was named the Male Track Athlete of the Meet at the 2016 Empire 8 Championship as he collected over 20 points on the day.  He set a new Fisher school record and E8 meet record in the 110-hurdle, winning the event with a time of 14.55 seconds (currently 5th fastest time in NCAA Division III).  He also finished first in the 400 hurdles with an E8 meet record time of 52.95 seconds and anchored a 4X400 relay that set a new Fisher record (3:24.76).
 
Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete –  St. John Fisher
Mark VanMarter, Sophomore - Liverpool, NY/Liverpool
 
Mark VanMarter was named the Male Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2016 Empire 8 Championship as he earned 26 points on the day. VanMarter finished first in both the long jump (6.84m) and the triple jump (13.20m).  He also cleared 1.93 meters in the high jump to earn third-place in the event.
 
Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete –  Ithaca
Taryn Cordani, Sophomore – Douglas, MA/Douglas
 
Sophomore Taryn Cordani was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet at the 2016 Empire 8 Championship. Cordani took first in 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:41.58. She also placed ninth in the 800 meter run (2:25.43).
 
Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete –  Ithaca
Brandy Smith, Junior – Miami, FL/Everglades
 
Junior Brandy Smith was named the Female Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2016 Empire 8 Championship. Smith, now a two-time field athlete of the meet, won the shot put (12.60 meters – 41 feet, 4.25 inches), the hammer throw (46.53 meters – 152' 8") and the discus (41.12 meters - 134' 11").
