In Final Collegiate Match, Brown Leads Men’s Golf Past Keystone

FACTORYVILLE, Pa. – Senior Ryan Brown (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep) ended his collegiate career in style on Tuesday, carding a four-over-par 75 to lead The University of Scranton men's golf team to a 316-351 victory over Keystone at Stonehedge Country Club.

Brown earned medalist honors with his effort, and led a six-player Scranton lineup that each shot 83 or lower. SophomoreMichael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) and freshman Kyle Hayes (East Norwich, N.Y./Oyster Bay) added a pair of 80s for the Royals.

Senior Eric Montella (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights), also playing in his final collegiate match, added an 81 to round out the Royals' top four scores.

The win gives Scranton a 12-3 mark on the season, the seventh straight season the Royals have won 10 or more matches. They went 5-2 in the spring, winning their final three matchups.
