Brown, Lambrinakos Lead Scranton Past King’s

MOOSIC, Pa. – Senior Ryan Brown (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep) and junior Steven Lambrinakos (Stamford, Conn./Trinity) overcame cold and windy conditions to both shoot 6-over-par 77 to lead The University of Scranton men's golf team over King's, 319-332, on Wednesday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
The duo took medalist honors with their solid round on the par-71, 6,308-yard course. The Royals (10-2) also received an 81 from senior Warren Rozelle (Clarks Green, Pa./Scranton Prep) to give them the three best rounds on the day.
Scranton also received a pair of 84s from freshmen Kyle Hayes (East Norwich, N.Y./Oyster Bay) and Brett Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township), and an 88 from freshman Andrew Millisits (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic).
The Royals are scheduled to be back in action on Thursday when they host Keystone and Marywood at Glenmaura National.
