IWLCA Releases Academic Honors
The IWLCA honored seven teams and 26 student-athletes from Empire 8 women’s lacrosse with 2016 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honors. Ithaca College, Nazareth College, Utica College, Hartwick College, Houghton College, Stevens Institute of Technology and Elmira College were named Academic Honor Squads. In order to qualify for this prestigious honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the year.
The IWLCA also honored student-athletes from 301 different institutions across the country with inclusion in the 2016 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. In order to be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
