Bromley and Deuble Tie for first place

PHOENIX, N.Y. -- The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf team won its own tournament on Sunday, as the Cardinals claimed top honors at the St. John Fisher College Invitational.
The Cardinals, ranked 18th in the national preseason coaches poll, finished with a three-round total fo 929 (307-310-312), beating runner-up University of Rochester by two strokes. Nazareth College finished in fourth place in the team standings with a three-round total of 1,003.
The tournament featured 36 holes on Saturday at Timber Banks Country Club and 18 holes at Beaver Meadows Golf Club in Baldwinsville.
Fisher senior
Karl Deuble and Nazareth senior Kyle Bromley finished tied for first overall. Deuble carded three-round total of +11 (71-78-78). Bromley carded an even-par score of 72 Sunday in the final round to improve upon his scores of 77 and 78 in Saturday's first two rounds.
Fisher senior
Joel Jakubowiczplaced fourth overall at 14 (80-75-75), while teammate Nicholaus Calabrese was three shots behind at 17 (82-74-77).
Jeff Palmerino placed 12th overall at 26 (76-84-82), while
Ian Campbell was 14th overall at 29 (80-83-82). Fisher's
Colin McGaugh (10th/ 24) and
Christopher Fritch (12th/ 26) both placed in the top 15, but their scores weren't factoring into the team's overall score.
Freshman
Ian Brotherton was Nazareth's next best finisher following a final round score of 86 for a three-round total of 250. Other Nazareth competitors were senior Jon Gerken (262 total), freshman
Jordan Holley (267 total) and senior
C.J. Murray (276 total).
