HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's tennis had a successful home-opener Wednesday, taking a 6-3 win over Elmira College in Empire 8 action.

The win moves the Highlanders to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the E8. Elmira drops to 1-1 and 0-1.
