Utica Places 10th at Vassar's Ron Stonitsch Invite
Poughkeepsie, NY – The Utica College women's cross country team placed tenth out of 15 teams at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational 5K hosted by Vassar College on Saturday. Utica sophomore
Kaitlyn Stinson (South Kortright, NY/South Kortright Central School) placed 27
th overall out of 197 competitors with a time of 19:55.8. Stinson posted an average mile time of 6:24.9.
Sophomore
Renee Lewis (Utica, NY/Notre Dame) was the second finisher for Utica and she came in 59
th overall with a time of 20:43.4, while
Breanna Featherson (Waverly, NY/Waverly ) placed 114
th with a time of 22:28.1.
Maggie Reid (Locust Valley, NY/Locust Valley) took home 127
th with a time of 22:48.2 and freshman
Sarina Cannavo (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) placed 134
th with a time of 23:03.1.
Freshman Lindsey Sicker capped the top six for Utica with a time of 23:06.1.
Sarah Renaud (Oxford, NY/Oxford Academy) finished with a time of 23:16.4 and sophomore
Emilee Stevens (Altamont, NY/Guilderland High School) placed 153
rd with a time of 23:41.9.
Freshman
Lesley Nicosia (Mountainville, NY/Cornwall Central) posted a 23:47.5,
Danielle Royal (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) came in with a time of 23:49.3 and
Bryanna Mazzella (Newburgh, NY/Marlboro Central) rounded out the top 11 for UC with a time of 24:17.3.
The Pioneers will travel to Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ next weekend to compete in the Bill Fritz Invitational. Rowan's course will also play host to the NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Atlantic Regionals on November 12, 2016.
