The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf program fired a 295 Sunday on the second day of the Empire 8 Conference Championship, placing the Cardinals in first place overall with a total of 608.

The two day fall portion of the championship took place at the par-72, 6,739-yard Timber Banks Golf Club. 

Fisher, winners of sixth straight Empire 8 titles,  now has a 29-shot lead over Stevens Insitute of Technology (637), followed by Morvian (650), Scranton (665), Nazareth (674), Utica (696), Susquehanna (697) and Elmira (723). Rounds three and four will be contested in the spring at Hershey Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Jeff Palmerino was Fisher's top finisher on Sunday, carding a 1-under, 71.   The senior made 15 pars, one bogey and two birdies for Sunday's lowest round.

For the two-day tournament, seniors Karl Deuble (74-76) and Joel Jakubowicz (77-73) are tied for first overall, while Ian Campbell shot a 75 on Sunday.

Stevens sophomore Tyler Balkema led the Ducks Sunday with a 74, putting the second-year golfer in seventh place overall with a 158. Balkema carded four birdies for the round, two of which came on par fives, and shot even-par 36 on the back nine. 

Senior Frank Szucs is in third place after a 77 Sunday in a two-birdie round, while sophomore Jack Doherty shot an 81 for a two-day total of 165. Szucs shot even par on the back to go along with a steady 11-par round for Doherty. 

Freshman Joseph Kozlowski completed her first taste of college golf with an 83 to mirror his Saturday round, giving the rookie a 166 for the weekend. 

Moravian fired a 316 on Sunday and sit in third place with a team score of 650, 13 strokes behind Stevens. 

Junior Tyler Smith is in fifth place of 47 golfers through 36 holes with a 154 after shooting a three-over par 75 on Sunday in a round that included a birdie and 13 pars. Senior Dan Leppert is tied for 11th with a 164 after a 78 in the second round that included 10 pars and a birdie while sophomore Kody Long is tied for 14th at 166 with an 82 on Sunday with a pair of birdies and nine pars on the day. Junior Kevin Kunkle is tied for 20th with a total of 169 after an 84 in the second round with seven pars while sophomore Joe Rochelle is tied for 24th at 172 after shooting an 81 Sunday's second round with two birdies and eight pars.

On Sunday, Scranton finished with 332, one shot better than Saturday's opening round. The Royals were led by juniorMichael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer), who had an 82. Senior Tyler Huggins (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area)and sophomore Kyle Hayes (East Norwich, N.Y./Oyster Bay) both shot 83, and junior David Harris (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) finished with 84.

After two rounds, Huggins is tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard at 11-over-par 162. Boland and Hayes are both tied for 14th at 166, 15 over par. 

Nazareth improved by 32 strokes from Saturday's first round to Sunday's second as the Golden Flyers finished with a team score of 674.

Senior Kyle Bromley paced Nazareth with rounds of 82 and 80 for a total score of 162, good for a tie for ninth place individually. Freshman Ian Brotherton was next in 20th place with scores of 91 and 78 for a 169 total. Senior Jonathan Gerken is tied for 22nd place with scores of 89 and 82 for a 171 total.

Utica finished in sixth place with a two day team score of 696 at Timber Banks Country Club.  The Pioneers posted a day two score of 344 and were led by Kevin Kirisits  and Easton Powers who shot 82 and 86, respectively. 

Kirisits and Powers are currently tied for 24 overall in the individual competition. Kirisits moved up seven spots on the individual leaderboard after his 82 on Sunday.

The River Hawks shot a 697 (+121) to place seventh. The team shot a 344 on Sunday after shooting a 353 on Saturday. 
Robert Johnson led the River Hawks by tying for 14th with a two-day score of 166, including a team-best 82 on Sunday. Alex Wagner tied for 30th (174).

Elmira trimmed 17 strokes off of their team score from the first round. Elmira finished day two with a cumulative 353 (+65) and totaled a combined 723 (+147).

Third-year linksman Dan Gridley '18 was Elmira's highest finisher, as he tied for 24th place out of the field of 47. Although Gridley birdied only one hole over the weekend, he was a very consistent performer, carding a 14-over par 86 in both rounds. The Chenango Forks, New York, native led the Purple and Gold with a combined 18 pars in the two rounds.
