Utica Places 5th at Bill Fritz Invitational

GLASSBORO, NJ- The Utica College men's cross country teamfinished 5th out of 17 teams at Saturday's Bill Fritz Invitational, hosted by Rowan University. 
 
The men had a total time of 2:14:12.19, averaging out to 26:50.44 to complete the 8k race.  UC trailed Stevenson in fourth place (2:13:28.97) by less than a minute.
 
Tyler Wright (Little Falls, NY/West Canada Valley) once again led the way for the men as he finished with a time of 26:31.74, good enough for 28th place.  Freshman Mitchell Marlow (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) was right behind him with a time of 26:37.11, to take home 32ndLiam Rodgers (Syracuse, NY/Westhill ) and Erik Winberg (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) finished third and fourth with times of 26:49.58 and 26:55.82, respectively.  Dan Block rounded out the top five UC finishers with his time of 27:17.94.
 
The Pioneers return to action on Oct. 1 as they travel to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run.
