Houghton Finishes in Top Half at Behrend Invitational

The Houghton College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Erie, Pa., Saturday for the Behrend Invitational, hosted by PSU Behrend. The women finished 5th out of 12 teams and the men finished 4th out of 10 teams. The host school won both races, which were held in rainy, sloppy conditions.

The women's race covered 5000 meters and the men's race covered 8000 meters.

"Our packs didn't go exactly as planned, partly due to the weather and course conditions. I think we ran pretty tough, but had just one or two things not work out quite as I had hoped on the women's side," said Head Coach Patrick Hager. "Overall, though, a top-half finish for both teams is solid."
