AFCA and D3football.com Polls Feature E8 Teams
The St. John Fisher College football team is ranked in both prominent national polls following its 3-0 start to the season. Fisher moved up to No. 16 in the
D3football.com poll and debuts at No. 16 in the
American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll.

On Sept. 17, Fisher jumped out to an early 21-3 lead and held off a late Cortland charge with two Demarre Nelson red-zone interceptions in the final three minutes as the 21st-ranked Cardinals defeated the 15th-ranked Red Dragons, 31-24, in the Empire 8 opener for both teams.
Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. next Saturday at the College at Brockport for Courage Bowl XII – a game dedicated to the children of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
Cortland will travel to Utica College on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. for a league contest. The game is scheduled to be televised regionally on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.
Alfred is in action on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m., when the Saxons host Ithaca College.
