Nourse Sets Single Game School Record For Saves

Kimber Nourse set the school record with 28 saves as ninth-ranked Rochester defeated the Golden Flyers 3-0 on Wednesday night under the lights. The previous school record was 27 saves set by Kelsey Evans in 2010. It is the fourth time this season that Nourse has recorded 20 or more saves.
Nazareth falls to 1-9 overall with the loss while Rochester remains undefeated at 9-0.
Rochester jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the break.
Jennifer Lee got things started for the Yellowjackets 10:48 into the contest on an unassisted goal.
Rochester put intense pressure on the entire half, generating 29 shots and 12 penalty corners. Samantha Dow converted her third goal of the season nearly ten minutes later to give the visitors a 2-0 advantage.
Oliva Denny scored her first goal of the season with just :50 seconds left in the half on a re-directed shot in front of the net.
Nourse and the Nazareth defense stood tall in the second half, holding Rochester off the scoreboard. The sophomore made 13 of her career-high 28 saves in the second stanza, repeatedly shutting down dangerous scoring opportunities.
The Yellowjackets held the advantage in shots 49-1.
