. - Zeph Walters of Stevens Institute of Technology and Loukas Brigham of the St. John Fisher College baseball team have been named 2017 preseason All-Americans by D3baseball.com. Walters is a second team utlity selection, while Loukas is an honorable mention relief pitcher.

On the mound, the Walters led the Ducks in 2016 with six victories and a 1.69 earned run average, while striking out 32 against five walks. At the dish, Walters hit .370 with 51 hits, including 13 doubles slugged seven homers and 38 RBI's, both of which led the Ducks. 

One of the Cardinals' top relief pitchers, Brigham hurled 26.0 innings during the 2016 season and produced an ERA of just 1.73. The Rochester, N.H. native collected 22 strikeouts on the year while surrendering just 13 walks all season. Hitters struggled against the righty as he allowed just 17 hits only two of which went for extra bases. Brigham also picked up 10 saves during the 2016 campaign, which not only led the Empire 8, but also was the ninth-most in all of Division III.
