St. John Fisher College men's basketball head coach Rob Kornaker won his 300th career game on Thursday night, as the Cardinals posted a 95-67 victory over Colby-Sawyer College in the second game of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament.  With the win, Fisher advances to Friday's title game and will host Penn State-Behrend at 3 p.m.

Now in his 16th season at Fisher, Kornaker owns a career record of 300-123 (.709 winning percentage).  He is just one of only three coaches in the storied history of men's basketball at Fisher and needs 11 more wins to tie Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Bobby Wanzer for career victories at Fisher.

Under Kornaker, the Cardinals have enjoyed eight seasons with 20 or more or wins, seven trips to the NCAA Division III Championship and six Empire 8 Conference titles.

"I had no idea that this was my 300th win until after the game was over and was completely shocked," said Kornaker after the game.   "It's really humbling to think of the wins we've had, but it's a testament to all the hard work that has been put in by the assistant coaches I've had over the years, and obviously the players we've had.  They are the ones who deserve all the credit."
