HOUGHTON, NY – The Alfred University men's track and field team delivered 31 personal bests on Friday evening during the Houghton College Highlander Invitational.
The biggest personal best of the day was from senior weight thrower,
Jeffrey Nunez (Wurtsboro, NY/Ellenville). Nunez broke his own school record of 15.92 meters with a new distance of 16.12 meters on his last throw of the finals. Nunez's toss did not only put him above all other collegiate competitors but also those throwers who were participating as unattached athletes as he finished first overall.
