Fisher Breaks School Records In Boston

FULL RESULTS - BOSTON

Individuals of the St. John Fisher College men's indoor track and field team traveled to Boston University this weekend, competing in the Terrier Classic.

Senior Peter Girardi broke yet another school record in Boston this weekend, this time in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a time of 49.598. Also shattering records was Jack Behlmaier, who set a new best mark in the 500-meter dash with a 1:07.36, bettering his previous ECAC qualifying mark.

Also at the Terrier Classic was James Felice, who came in 64th of 175 runners in the mile run, posting the fastest time on the Empire 8 leaderboard at 4:20.73. Dan Cleary competed in the mile run, finishing with a new personal record of 4:37.23, more than eight seconds better than his previous PR.

The 4X400 team of Eddie Mahana, John Woodworth, Behlmaier, and Girardi destroyed the Fisher record with an ECAC qualifying mark, good for 15th of 41 teams. Their time of 3:24.35 currently puts them 12th nationally in the 4X400.

Mahana would also race in the 60-meter hurdles, placing 31st with a time of 8.68. MarkVanMarter competed in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish with a time of 22.97.
