Utica Women's Basketball Helps Out at Hope House
UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's basketball team recently spent its Saturday volunteering at the Hope House.
The Hope House offers help for homeless and local people in need by providing hot meals, daytime shelter, as well as counseling and other services. The Pioneers spent the afternoon on Sept. 23 by preparing and serving the afternoon meals. The team will also be back at the end of October to help out again. The team has participated in this community service event since the Hope House opened its doors in 1990.
The Pioneers open up their season on Wednesday, Nov. 15 as they host SUNY Potsdam. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
