Fisher Partakes in PUSH YOURSELF CHALLENGE to Benefit Local Charities
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team took the opportunity to give back to the surrounding community this past Sunday as members of the team participated in the eighth annual PUSH YOURSELF 5K Walk/Run Challenge at Ellison Park.
This year's challenge directly benefited leukemia and lymphoma research along with the Golisano Children's Hospital and other local charities such as Crime Stoppers of Rochester, Webster Community Chest, the Open Door Mission and the PUSH YOURSELF Scholarship.
The event, which is dedicated to building awareness for various charitable endeavors throughout the Greater Rochester Area, also took in donations such as canned goods, gently used shoes or clothing and books.
