Stinson & Ostrowski Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors
UTICA, NY – Kaitlyn Stinson and Jessica Ostrowski of the Utica College women's cross country team earned USTFCCCA
NCAA Division III Cross Country All-Region honors on Monday, Nov. 13.
A total of 280 men and 280 women from 239 programs earned the distinction by finishing among the top-35 runners at one of the eight regional sites across the country.
Stinson led the way for the Pioneers at regionals this past weekend and was the top finisher among Empire 8 runners, as she came in 23rd place individually with a time of 22:45.6. Last season at the Atlantic Regional meet, Stinson placed 57th. Stinson missed out on an NCAA Championship qualification by two runners. She capped the season with six top-10 finishes, including a first place finish at the Empire 8 Conference Championships on October 28
th.
Ostrowski, a freshman, placed 35
th overall with a time of 22:57.5 on Saturday at regionals. She posted four top-10 finishes this past season, including a fourth place finish at the Empire 8 Conference Championships, which earned her first team all-conference recognition.
The women's cross country team wrapped up its most successful season in program-history this past weekend with a program-best 13
th place finish out of 41 teams. Utica finished the season with six top four finishes. The Pioneers won two meets, including the program's first Empire 8 Conference Championship.
