HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 6, 2017) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will head to Cortland, New York for a first-round matchup with Middlebury College in the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament will be hosted by the State University of New York at Cortland.
Kickoff for the opening-round fixture is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 at SUNY Cortland's Jets Field. The Ducks will be making their 15th trip to the NCAAs since the 2001 season and first under second-year head coach
Dale Jordan.
"Very exciting to be playing a top NESCAC school and against an incredible coach in Dave Saward," Jordan commented. "The location is extremely familiar to me and my coaching staff, so that's an added bonus for sure."
Middlebury will be making their first trip to the NCAA tournament since 2010. The Panthers are coming off a 12-6 campaign and received an at-large bid to the tournament after falling to Tufts in the New England Small College Athletic Conference championship. Stevens and Middlebury last played on November 23, 2008, when the Ducks advanced to the national semifinals on penalties.
