Stevens ranked 21st in Face-off Yearbook Preseason Poll

BALTIMORE, Md. (December 19, 2017) – The Stevens Institute of Technology Men's Lacrosse team is ranked 21st in the
2018 Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Top 25, it was announced Monday by Inside Lacrosse, which publishes the annual yearbook. The Ducks open the 2018 season at home on Saturday, February 17, when Arcadia University visits the DeBaun Athletic Complex.
"Preseason rankings are always nice and we are honored to be mentioned as a top 25 team," head coach
Gene Peluso commented. "We are looking forward to the process of our season and working to become the best team we can."
Stevens will take on two other members of the Face-Off Yearbook top 25 when Tufts University make its annual trip to Hoboken on March 10 and the Ducks travel to Maryland on April 3 for a non-conference matchup with Stevenson University. The Jumbos are ranked ninth by the publication, while the Mustangs comeback in at 17.
"We love the group we have this year," Peluso added. "The staff is excited for the 2018 season and getting started.
Defending national champion Salisbury University earned the top spot in the preseason top 25 poll, followed by Wesleyan University, York (Pa.) College and Denison University. 2017 national runner-up Rochester Institute of Technology rounds out the top-five. Stevens was the only team in the Empire 8 Conference ranked by the publication.
