E8 Announces 2017 Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Teams
The Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) has announced the 2016-17 Indoor Track and Field All-Conference honorees. The E8 recognized 33 men and 33 women who represent the conference's seven institutions who sponsor the sport.
To be a member of the all-conference team a student athlete must have finished in the top two of an event at the Championship Meet held February 11 at the Todd and Jenn Hutton Sports and Recreation Center on the campus of Utica College. Winners of the event are named to the first team, while the second team is comprised of the runner-up from each event.
The championship meet was a day for the record books as the men set six new E8 meet records and five new facility records. The women set one new meet record and eight new facility records.
