Six B-cut times on Day Two for the Women

Ithaca College and Stevens Institute of Technology remain at the top of the standings after the second day of competition at the Empire 8 Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Ithaca won for the first time since 2008. The Bombers' team, which consisted of Paige Landers, Jackie Pecze, Grace Ayer and Lake Duffy finished in a B-cut time of 1:35.28 to snap an eight year win streak by Stevens. Hartwick took second place in 1:38.49, followed by Stevens (1:39.78).
The 400 Individual Medley finals produced a Stevens sweep. Sophomore Sam Geyer claimed the title with a Bcut performance of 4:32.67, edging out junior Katie Prescott (Bcut 4:32.95). Junior Tori Glascock touched third (4:38.89).
Stevens junior Sarah Jurczyk won the 100 Butterfly for the third straight year with a B-cut time of 56.95. Ithaca's Pecze was second in 57.80.
Danielle Caruso won her second title of this season's championships and fourth straight crown in the 200 Freestyle event. Her B cut time of 1:51.86 bested teammate Courtney Jones (1:54.58) who took second and Hartwick's Madeline Hayes (1:55.00) in third.
The evening's races came to a close with a B-cut and E8 meet record time in the 400 Medley Relay. Ithaca finished 2.8 seconds ahead of Stevens. Grace Ayer, Sam Reilly, Jackie Pecze and Lake Duffy combined for the victory in 3:48.68 as Stevens clocked a time of 3:51.48.
Day three begins Friday with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
