Ithaca and Hartwick Ranked In East Region
The Ithaca College and Hartwick College women's basketball teams are ranked No. 2 and No. 8, respectively, in the east region according to the first regional rankings that were released Wednesday.
The Bombers sit behind undefeated SUNY Geneseo. Geneseo owns a perfect a 21-0 record thus far and holds the No. 18 national ranking in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.
The Bombers have won eight straight games dating back to January 19. Ithaca has also posted a perfect 9-0 record at home this season and is currently tied for first in the Empire 8 Conference with an 11-2 record with three games to play.
Hartwick is also 11-2 in the league and has won its last three games.
This Saturday, February 11, Ithaca welcomes Hartwick to Ben Light Gymnasium for a 2 p.m. tipoff. Hartwick defeated the Bombers earlier this season, 75-64, on January 7.
