Fisher and Ithaca Ranked in IWLCA and U.S. Lacrosse Magazine Polls

The St. John Fisher College and Ithaca College women's lacrosse teams continued rise up the national rankings, as it saw jumps to its ranking in both major polls. The Cardinals and Bombers sit 13th and 17th, respectively, in the latest release by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). And both teams are in the Top-10 in the Nike/US Lacrosse poll, checking in at and sixth and ninth.
Fisher won its season-opener with a 21-3 triumph over Roanoke College in the Spring Fling Games in Port Charlotte, Fla on March 6. Ten different Cardinals finished with at least one point in the contest.
Nine different players scored at least one goal as Fisher cruised to a 19-2 win over Kenyon College on Wednesday, March 8.
Ithaca improved to 3-0 on the season last week with a dominant 16-4 victory over Hartwick College in its Empire 8 opener on Wednesday. The Bombers raced out to an 11-3 halftime lead, before outscoring the Hawks 5-1 over the final 30 minutes of play in the lopsided win.
