PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The postseason praise continued to roll in for Keegan Ryan of the St. John Fisher College men's basketball team as the senior was named Third-Team All-American by D3hoops.com as announced earlier in the week.  Ryan was also named an All-American by D3hoops.com at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season.

Ryan, who was named a preseason All-American by the same publication in each of the last two seasons, has already compiled an impressive list of accolades following the 2016-17 campaign.  The Plattsburgh native was named Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference by the Empire 8 and an ECAC All-Star.  The National Association of Basketball Coaches tabbed Ryan First-Team All-District while DIII News recognized the forward as a Fifth-Team All-American.

The four-year starter enjoyed his best season in a Fisher uniform in 2016-17 as he finished with 545 points scored along with 257 rebounds all while shooting a conference-leading .593 field goal percentage.  At the conclusion of his career, Ryan undoubtedly ranks as one of the best to ever play at Fisher as he ranks fourth all-time in scoring with 1,765 points while his 996 career rebounds are the most in program history.  His 512 made free throws ranks first in program history while his .569 career field goal percentage is the sixth-highest ever at Fisher.

This season, Ryan, who has been named a D3hoops.com All-Region honoree three times overall during his four-year career, scored 25 points or more in a game six times including a career-high 33 points on two occasions.  He finished the 2016-17 campaign with 13 double-doubles, which led the Empire 8 Conference.  Ryan finished the season as an NCAA statistical champion with 183 made free throws.

Off the court, Ryan has performed well in the classroom leading him to be named Academic All-District earlier this year by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A consistent player throughout his career, Ryan played in 110 career games including 107 starts and tallied 43 double-doubles in that span.  During his time at Fisher, the Cardinals went 85-26 and qualified for the NCAA Championship twice including an appearance in the Sweet 16 in 2014-15.
