Deragon Named USILA/BSN North Defensive Player of the Week

The USILA and BSN Sports announced the Players of the Week for the week of March 13 – March 19, 2017 and Ithaca College senior goaltender Jack Deragon has been named the Division III North Defensive Player of the Week.
Deragon had an excellent showing in the cage during the two victories. He posted a 5.00 goals-against average on the week, while amassing 25 total saves in the two victories. He stopped 11 shots against Bowdoin, while he made a season-high 14 saves against Western New England.
The senior net-minder also ranks near the top of the charts in several goaltending categories. He ranked second in the country in goals-against average as of the latest stats release, while he sat third in save percentage.
Deragon is the second Empire 8 player to earn the defensive weekly honor as Hartwick's Connor O'Brien was awarded for the week of February 27 – March 5, 2017.
