Three Corvias ECAC Athletes of the Week
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Corvias Players of the Week for the week of play ending March 26 and three Empire 8 student-athletes have been recognized.

Player of the Week
Zeph Walters – Stevens Institute of Technology, Sr., OF/1B
Walters hit .533 (8-for-15) with three home runs, four runs scored, eight RBIs, a .529 on-base percentage and a 1.133 slugging percentage in a 3-1 week for the Ducks. He finished the week with three multi-hit games including a 3-for-4 effort with four RBIs in a 13-5 win against Houghton. To start last week, the senior had two hits versus nationally ranked Kean. Walters also added three more hits against Houghton in the three-game series.

Track Athlete of the Week
Amy Regan – Stevens Institute of Technology, Sr.
Regan opened the 2017 outdoor track and field season with a victory in the 5,000-meter run at the Monmouth Season Opener. The time of 17:01.02 was over 11 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Field Athlete of the Week
Danielle Perry – Alfred University, Fr.
Perry competed in her first collegiate outdoor track and field meet at California University of Pennsylvania last Saturday. In the meet, she finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.70 meters (35 feet, 1.25 inches). The distance broke the school record of 10.57 meters (34 feet, 8.25 inches) set by Corine Pettit in 2013. Perry also led the Saxon jumpers in the long jump with a distance of 4.76 meters (15 feet, 7.5 inches). That distance is 0.02 meters from besting her indoor personal best in the event.
