Ithaca Holds Steady at No. 4
Nationally-ranked No. 4 Ithaca College (2-0) held their ground in this week's edition of the
USILA/Nike Division III Men's Lacrosse Coaches Poll.
Ithaca started the 2017 season on March 1 when it traveled to the Keystone State for a mid-week matinee against Lycoming College. The Bombers raced out to a big early advantage and never looked back in a 19-2 romp over the Warriors. It was a memorable victory for IC head coach
Jeff Longwho registered his 300th career win in the opener to his 30th season at the helm of the Bombers.
The Bomber's made their home debut at Higgins Stadium when it welcomed nationally-ranked Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to South Hill on March 5. The Bombers scored the final six goals to pull away from the 12
th-ranked Engineers, scoring a big early non-conference win by the final score of 14-9.
The Bombers return to action on Wednesday, March 8, when they head to Oswego State for a 4:00 p.m. road contest.
Stevens Institute of Technology and Nazareth College are among teams also receiving votes.
