Four Corvias ECAC Athletes of the Week

The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Corvias Players of the Week for the week of play ending April 9 and four Empire 8 student-athletes have been recognized.
 
Men’s Lacrosse – North
Offensive Player of the Week
Dominic Castiglia – Utica College, So., A

 
Castiglia netted 10 goals and one assist in the Pioneers’ two victories last week. He posted a career-high eight goals in the win against Alfred State College on Wednesday and then scored two goals and assisted on the game-winning goal against Alfred University on Saturday.
 
Women’s Lacrosse – North
Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Johnson – St. John Fisher College, Sr., A

 
Johnson posted 12 points last week, helping the Cardinals secure two wins. In a rainy bout with Buffalo State, the senior notched a hat trick and assisted on three others. Johnson then made her way into the Fisher history books during the Saturday tilt against Houghton. The senior assisted on four goals with the first dime giving her the title of St. John Fisher College career assists leader.
 
Baseball – North
Rookie of the Week
Anthony Tur – SUNY Canton, Fr., P

 
Tur earned his first collegiate win pitching 1.1 innings in relief giving up just two hits and no runs with two strikeouts in a 5-4 triumph over Stevens Institute of Technology.
 
Women’s Outdoor Track and Field – North
Rookie of the Week
Alexandria Rheaume – Ithaca College, Fr.

 
Rheaume took first overall in the 200-meter dash at 25.54 seconds at the Coach P Invitational on Saturday at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
