ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's tennis team earned its first conference win of the season Wednesday, downing Alfred 6-3.
With the win, Nazareth moves to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in Empire play. Alfred drops to 2-4 and 0-2, respectively.
Dan Freilicher and
Louis Rogers helped Nazareth account for four points. Rogers was victorious at second singles, 6-3, 6-4 and Feilicher third singles, 6-3, 6-0. The Golden Flyers were also winners at fifth singles with
Jameson Keppeler (6-1, 6-0) and
Evan Vogue (6-4, 6-4) at sixth singles.
Lamar Hurt and Freilicher teamed up for an 8-6 win at first doubles, while Rogers and
Ryley Amond took third doubles 8-2.
