Fisher Ties For Eighth at Hershey Cup

HERSHEY, Pa. – The St. John Fisher College men's golf team was back in action on Monday as the Cardinals completed the two-day 36-hole Hershey Cup which was played at the par 71, 6,551 yard Hershey Country Club East.  The Cardinals, who shot one stroke lower than their opening round mark, finished the tournament tied for eighth place overall after a combined team score of 623 (+55).  Alleghany took the title with a team score of 602 (+34) while Piedmont (+37) and Franklin & Marshall (+47) rounded out the top three.

Jeff Palmerino tied for 21st overall with a two day total of 155 (+13).  Karl Deuble and Joel Jakubowicz each tied for 27th place after carding a 156 (+14).  Both shot significantly better on the back nine as Deuble was two-over while Jakubowicz shot even par with a birdie on 17.

Colin McGaugh also tied for 27th place with a 156 (+14) as the freshman shot five-over-par on the front nine before totaling a 36 (+1) on the back.

Nicholas Calabrese tied for 67th place after a two-day score of 166 (+24).
