Fisher Takes Down Hartwick
The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team defeated Hartwick College 9-0 on Saturday in an Empire 8 matchup at home. With the win, Fisher advances to 3-8 on the season, and 2-2 in the conference.
In singles play,
Kevin Kulawiec played in the first spot, defeating his opponent 7-5, 6-3. In the second flight was
Quinn Magiera who won his match 6-1, 6-4.
John Miller would occupy third singles, winning 6-3, 6-2.
Jacob Zarzycki would defeat his opponent 6-1, 6-0, while
Jarrett Pelton would win 6-1, 6-1. In the sixth and final spot was
Dustin McCullough who won 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles action, Kulawiec and Magiera defeated Hartwick's top pair 8-3, and in the second flight was Zarzycki and McCullough, who would win 8-1. Also winning 8-1 was the third flight pair of
Jonathan Harper and
Adam Moran.
