The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team gained another conference victory on Tuesday, this time over the Saxons of Alfred University on the road. The 7-1 victory is the fourth in a row for the Cardinals, who improve their record to 6-8 overall and 5-2 in the Empire 8. The 7-1 score is a result of an incomplete match at third singles due to the weather.

Kevin Kulawiec led off at first singles again for Fisher, as he won his match 6-1, 6-2. Quinn Magiera clinched the match at second singles, winning in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. In the fourth spot was Jacob Zarzycki who defeated his opponent in a tiebreaker with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 10-6. Dustin McCullough played in the fifth flight, winning 6-2, 6-0, while in the final spot was Adam Moran who won 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles play, Kulawiec and Magiera filled the first spot, winning in straight sets 8-0. Zarzycki and McCullough would take down their opponents 8-4 in the second flight, and at third doubles was Moran and Jonathan Harper who won 8-6.

Fisher returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday as it hosts Elmira College for senior day.
