Fisher Sits in Middle of Pack After Day One at NCAAs

HOWEY-IN-THE_HILLS, Fla. – After one day of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, the St. John Fisher College men's golf team sits tied for 23rd place out of 42 teams. Playing at El Campeon Golf Course, the squad managed to turn in a +25, with a combined score of 313.

Turning in the Cardinals' top score was Colin McGaugh, who shot a 76 on the day. The score was good enough to put him in a tie for 53rd in a field of over 200 golfers. Only one stroke behind him was teammate Jeff Palmerino, whose 77 put him in a tie for 76th place.

Karl Deuble and Christopher Salone both turned a +8 (80) on their score cards, while Joel Jakubowicz posted a +11 (83).

Fisher will hit the links tomorrow beginning at 12 p.m. The squad will be paired up with Concordia University (Texas) as well as Husson University.
